  2. In your application select to switch to us. The Current Account Switch Service will then automatically move your existing payments and close your account held elsewhere.

At the end of your application we might ask you to provide photo ID, proof of address and take a selfie. We'll then check your details with our security partners HooYu or Digidocs.

What kind of account do you want?

To get the £150 switching offer you must:

  • Switch an account you hold elsewhere to NatWest by 6th December 2019. When you apply tell us you want to switch.
  • Pay in at least £1500 and log in to Online or Mobile Banking by 24th January 2020.

You won't be eligible for our switching offer:

  • If you've had a cashback for switching to us (or Royal Bank) since October 2017.
  • If we're only able to offer you a Foundation account instead of a Select account.

Depending on what ID we need to see, we may ask you for:

  • A selfie
  • Photo ID, such as Drivers licence, Passport or EU ID card
  • Proof of your address, such as a Utility bill or Bank statement

You’ll need these bits of info handy for your application:

  • The account number, sort code and debit card number of the bank account you want to switch to NatWest
  • The account number and sort code of your existing NatWest current account

The Current Account Switch Service will move everything across from your old bank account to your new NatWest current account within 7 working days. You'll barely need to lift a finger.
