This is more than just a bank account
With this account you can get mobile phone insurance, worldwide travel insurance and much more. You can also earn Rewards on 7 types of household bills paid by Direct Debit. This account can be opened as a joint account.
To apply, you must be 18+ and a UK resident. To earn Rewards you need to log into Online or Mobile Banking at least once every three months.
Please note that from 1st October 2018, the Reward Platinum monthly account fee will be £20. From this date, National Trust passes will be removed and replaced with a Discount on Cinema Tickets. There will also be some changes to the Travel Service benefit. For Breakdown cover as well as vehicles that you own, cover will now be available for any vehicle you are travelling in whether as a driver or a passenger.

When you open a Reward Platinum account, you’ll earn Rewards on selected household bills. You could earn £83 on average in Rewards a year. This figure is based on paying 7 types of selected household bills of £345 a month and is before the Reward monthly account fee is paid. 5 Rewards = £5.00.

2% back in Rewards on eligible household bills
You’ll automatically earn Rewards on the following bills as long as you pay them by Direct Debit; Council Tax, water, gas, electricity, mobile, landline TV package and broadband.
1% back in Rewards at partner retailers
You can earn at least 1% at our partner retailers when you use your NatWest debit card.
What you should know
Payments to billing organisations which are for other services such as maintenance, repairs or insurance will not earn Rewards.

Once you have opened your Reward bank account you can set up a MyRewards account. This is where your Rewards are automatically stored. It’s also where you go to check your personalised offers or your Rewards balance. 5.00 Rewards = £5. Once it’s the equivalent of £5 or more, you can choose any of the following:
Convert your rewards into money by simply transferring it into your NatWest bank account. It takes 5 days to clear into your chosen account.
Exchange your Rewards for gift cards or codes at our selected partner retailers.
Convert your Rewards into money and donate it to one of our chosen charities.
Travel insurance in detail
Family cover includes you and your partner, plus any dependent children under age 18 at the start of the journey, (under 23 if they’re in full-time education). Children must be living at the home address (or with the other parent), and be neither married or in a Civil Partnership.
Your partner is the person you, the account holder, lives with at the same home address in a relationship, whether married or cohabiting.
If you have a medical condition, please call 0345 609 0453 (or Minicom number 03456 000 512) to confirm your premiums and cover.
If anyone covered by the policy is aged 70 or over, there’s a £75 annual premium per person insured aged 70 or over. If you have an existing medical condition, you may have to pay an additional premium or accept that your cover may exclude certain conditions.

10% discount on airport parking, UK airport lounge access, car hire, transfers, attractions and airport hotels.
10% discount on baggage allowance upgrades and in-flight meals on Thomas Cook Airlines.
What you should know
No credit card or booking fees. No limit to the number of times you can use the service. Charges apply to cancellations or changes to bookings.

Covers the phone you use on a daily basis. If your account is in joint names, cover is also provided for the phone the other account holder uses on a daily basis. There is no cover for phones owned by your employer.
2 successful claims can be made on this policy in any 12 month period. If this is a joint account, both account holders can make 2 successful claims, with a maximum of 4 per account.
Our replacement phones are refurbished handsets in 'as new' condition using genuine manufacturer parts.
There is a £100 excess for each successful claim.
UK car breakdown cover
UK car breakdown cover in detail
Full national service - anywhere in the UK, including Homecall. Cover for vehicles you own that are kept and registered at your home address. Anyone driving or travelling in the vehicle owned by you is covered too.
Limited to 5 callouts in any 12 months.
Doesn't cover any repair costs once the insured vehicle has been transported to a garage or repairer.
National Trust pass

You have a choice of 300 places to visit. Each pass is valid for two adults and three children aged 5-17 (under 5's do not count towards the three and incur no additional cost).
Plus, get 20% off National Trust shops when you spend £20 or more at selected National Trust shops.

Some restaurants may exclude tastecard use on Friday or Saturday evenings, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Valentine’s Day, the whole of December and potentially other "event" type days.
Where restaurants offer 50% off they may limit the number of people; where restaurants offer 2 for 1 this does not include side dishes or extras.
Some restaurants require the customer to book prior to arriving.

Arranged Overdraft in detail
An Arranged Overdraft is a short-term way to borrow and can be a really useful way to pay for unexpected bills. An Arranged Overdraft means we’ve approved extra funds for you, which are available on your current account.
What you should know
You can arrange an overdraft with this bank account. We will only charge you interest and/or fees if you use your Arranged Overdraft. Subject to eligibility.
How much will I get?
It depends. We’ll look at your individual circumstances and decide on your overdraft limit. We’ll take into account age, earnings and credit rating. Here’s a representative example, If you get an arranged overdraft limit of £1,200 on your bank account and use all of it, you will be charged arranged overdraft interest at 19.89% EAR (variable) and a monthly usage fee of £6.

What are text alerts?
Text alerts are a really neat way of keeping tabs on your money.
