Apply the way that suits you

When the time is right to apply for a mortgage, we've made the whole process as easy as possible to get started. Read about the different ways to apply, then choose the method that best suits you.

Apply in branch or by phone

If you want advise with your mortgage choice, you can meet one of our mortgage advisers at your local branch, or talk with a member of our mortgage team over the phone.

These appointments usually take around two hours.

Apply online

You can apply online if you're comfortable to choose a mortgage without advice from us, however you won’t benefit from the protection provided by our advised service.

Applying online will take around half an hour.

You'll need to get an Agreement in Principle first and then continue to apply without leaving the application process.

Just so you know, you cannot apply online for a Right to Buy, shared equity, interest only or 95% mortgage, or if you are consolidating personal debt when remortgaging. 

Also, if you have tied accommodation or you work for the armed forces, please call us or visit your nearest branch.
