Add or remove an account holder online

Before you apply online you need to know..

Adding an account holder to your account will mean your account will now function as a 'joint account'. Removing an account holder from your account will mean your account will now function as a 'sole account'. 

If the person you are adding to your account is already a Natwest customer: You will only need to send in one form of photo identification with a selfie of the front and side profile. This is needed for both you and the party you are adding to the account

If the person you are adding to your account is not already a NatWest customer: You will need to send in two forms of identification. One being photo identification of yourself and the person you are adding to the account and one being proof of address. You only need to send in proof of address of the customer you are adding to the account. As well as a selfie photograph of the front and side profile from yourself and the person you are adding to the account.

Types of identification accepted: 

  1. Valid driving licence
  2. Passport
  3. European ID or Biometric Residence Permit

Please be aware, one you have completed the online process. Yourself and the party being removed from the account will receive a confirmation email from 'noreply@digidocs.natwest.com'

Add or remove a third party card holder online

Before you apply online you need to know..

If the person you are adding or removing from your account is not already a NatWest customer: You will need to send in two forms of identification. To complete this online process we will need you to download our pdf form and email us the relevent information. You’ll need to download Adobe Acrobat Reader (free download) to view the form. Images sent in must be 20MB max size of email with attachments.  PDF JPEG and PNG documents only. 

If the account you are looking to remove a party from has three or more account holders including yourself, you will not be able to us our online process at this time.

Add a Power of Attorney or Court of Protection Deputy to my account online

To complete either of these processes online we will need you to download our pdf form and email us the relevent information. You’ll need to download Adobe Acrobat Reader (free download) to view the form. Images sent in must be 20MB max size of email with attachments.  PDF JPEG and PNG documents only.
