Is your bank part of the Current Account Switching Service?

• Contact your employer to have your salary paid into your new account.
• You'll also need to provide your new account details to anyone else you receive money from, such as a pension or benefits provider. 

• If you pay anyone by Direct Debit, you'll need to give them your new bank details. Remember to check when the next payment is due so that you'll have enough money in your NatWest account to cover it.
• To make sure you don't pay twice, cancel your Direct Debits with your old bank just in case.

Contact your old bank and ask them to cancel your standing orders, then use your NatWest Online Banking or Mobile app to set them back up again.

If you have any monthly subscriptions like streaming platforms such as Netflix or Amazon, you'll need to contact them and update your card details so that they can take payments from your new NatWest account.

• You can transfer your balance from your old bank to NatWest at any time. You'll just need your new sort code and account number.
• Once you've set up all of your payments and moved everything across to us, you can go ahead and close your old account, you're all done!
• If you'd prefer for us to help you switch, you can chat to Cora, our digital assistant, by simply asking about 'manual switching'. Just a heads-up, this will take longer than if you do the switch yourself as we have to wait for your old bank to get back to us.
