What is Premier Banking?

How do you qualify for Premier Banking?

You'll need to be a permanent UK resident and meet one of the following:

1. Income

Minimum £100k sole income or £120k joint income paid into your NatWest account

2. Mortgage borrowings

£500k minimum mortgage borrowing with us

3. Savings or Investments

Minimum £100k savings or investments held with us

Switch and stay with NatWest

Switch to NatWest and we'll give you £125 when you switch and another £50 when you're still with us a year later. 

Our switching offer is available to new and existing customers who are residents in the UK.

You'll also need to:

Use the Current Account Switch Service to close your current account held elsewhere and switch to an eligible account with us by 7th June 2019

Pay in at least £1500 into your eligible account and log in to online or mobile banking by 12 July 2019. We'll pay you £125 by the 9th August 2019.

Use your debit card linked to your eligible account at least once a month and we'll pay you another £50 by 30th June 2020

We're sorry but if you've had cashback for switching to NatWest (or Royal Bank of Scotland) since October 2017 you won't be able to get it again.

This offer can be withdrawn at any time.

You don't have to open a new account to join Premier. Simply speak to one of our team who will confirm a few details with you and arrange a time that suits you to talk to one of our Premier Banking Managers who will welcome you to Premier.

Common questions about joining Premier

New to NatWest? Once you've completed your Premier account application, we'll give you a call within two working days to chat through what Premier has to offer.

If you decide to call us about joining Premier. We will confirm a few details about you and your circumstances and agree a time that suits you to speak with one of our Premier Banking Managers. They'll discuss your financial goals and objectives to see if Premier is right for you, but there is no obligation to take any of our services.

Evidence of criteria met – we will confirm over the phone which of the criteria you meet.

Current address - information on your current address and post code.

Financial documents - to help us understand your needs and evidence the criteria you meet, please have the relevant financial documentation to hand (for example: statements, tax returns, bank statements).

New customers will need to bring either your driving licence or passport too.

If you are moving to the UK within the next 3 months, we would be able to welcome you to Premier banking once you have arrived in the country. Please contact our Premier banking team who will be happy to help.

If you are not moving to the UK, we would not be able to offer you the Premier service. 

If you are living outside the UK but still within the EU. You could still open an account with NatWest.

Free Receipt Management tool for Premier customers

Losing a receipt can be a pain, especially for valuable items. As a Premier customer you can use our Receipt Management tool to effortlessly store, track and capture your receipts using our Mobile Banking app. As a Premier customer it's completely free, yes free!

Mobile App critieria applies. Receipt Management available on selected devices. This service is available to Premier & Business Banking customers only.

Financial services compensation scheme

Your eligible deposits with NatWest are protected up to a total of £85,000 by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, the UK's deposit guarantee scheme.
