Pay Someone New

Need to pay a friend or tradesman? You can use your app to pay anyone up to £250 with just their account number and sort code. You don’t need a card reader or to have paid them before using Online Banking.

To pay someone new, choose your current account then click ‘Payments’. On the next screen, choose ‘Select payee’ then ‘Pay someone new’ and enter their details.  

 

Once the payment is made you have the option to share a PDF payment confirmation via email, save to your Cloud/Phone or print directly from the app.

Important information

 

The payment details will not be saved. You must have available funds to send from your account (including any overdraft facility). Maximum of 5 payments totalling £250 per working day, which is separate from your daily withdrawal and Get Cash limits.

 

For security reasons, the first time you use a feature that allows money to leave your account with the mobile app, you will be asked to confirm a second activation code.

 

Check your balance

Wondering if that refund is back in your account yet? Use your app to check your balance.

View your balances for not only your current account but your NatWest credit card, mortgage and savings accounts too.

 

You can also check your transactions going back seven years. Just tap on a particular transaction to see more details.

Transfer money between your own accounts

Have some money left over at the end of the month? Why not transfer it into your rainy day fund?

Choose the account you wish to move the money from, click ‘Transfer between accounts’ and follow the simple steps. 

Pay Your Contacts

With Pay Your Contacts you don’t need to swap bank details or mess around with cards or cash. All you need is your app and your friend’s mobile number. Use it to split a taxi or go halves on dinner.

First, tap on your current account. Select ‘Pay Your Contacts’ then enter your friend’s mobile number or select them from your contact list. Finally, enter a reference and the amount.

 

You can use Pay Your Contacts to pay anyone who has a NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland, Ulster Bank, NatWest Offshore or Isle of Man mobile app, or is registered for Paym. They’ll get the money instantly.

 

Once the payment is made you have the option to share a PDF payment confirmation via email, save to your Cloud/Phone or print directly from the app.

Fingerprint login 

Use fingerprint login on your iPhone, iPad or Android phone? Then you can use it to log into the app.

To set it up, first log into your app with your existing passcode. Then click ‘More’ at the bottom of the screen. Open ‘Settings’ and enable fingerprint login.

Touch ID and Android Fingerprint are available on selected Apple and Android devices.

 

 

Withdraw cash without a card

Forgotten your debit card? No problem - you can still take cash out with our app.

Just open up your app, click ‘Get Cash’ at the bottom of the screen and select how much you’d like to withdraw (up to £130). Click ‘next’ and we’ll give you a secure code to enter at any NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland (in Scotland) or Tesco cash machine.

 

You can use this service up to twice a day, but can only have one cash code at a time. If the code expires, the money will go back into your account within 24 hours.

Important Information

 

You must have at least £10 available funds to withdraw from your account (including any overdraft facility) and an active debit card for your account.

 

For security reasons, the first time you use a feature that allows money to leave your account with the mobile app, you will be asked to confirm a second activation code. 

 

 

Pay bills with your phone

We’ve all been there – you suddenly realise a bill needs paying before the end of the day and you’re nowhere near a phone, branch or PC. No problem – just use your app.

Choose the account you want to pay the bill from then select ‘Payments’. Select the payee from the list, or tap ‘Pay someone new’ and type in the name of the organisation. The app will fill in the rest. Click ‘Continue’, add a payment reference and the amount.

Important Information

 

You must be aged over 16 and have available funds to send from your account (including any overdraft facility).  Limits apply, the app will notify you of the limit once you have selected the company you wish to pay.

 

For security reasons, the first time you use a feature that allows money to leave your account with the mobile app, you will be asked to confirm a second activation code. 

 

 

Set up, amend or cancel a standing orders 

No need to visit a branch to set up your standing orders, its just a few steps on your app.

To see your existing standing orders, choose the relevant account and press ‘Standing Orders’. They’ll come up as a list. To amend or cancel one, click on it, then tap the appropriate button at the bottom. You can set up a new standing order by clicking on the ‘+’ sign in the top corner.

Important Information

 

To cancel a standing order from within the mobile app you must give two working days’ notice. 

 

 

View and cancel Direct Debits

Looking to cancel that gym membership you’ve not used in months? Or check when your phone bill is due? With our app you can view or cancel Direct Debits in seconds.

 

Choose the account you pay the bill from, select ‘Direct Debits’ from the menu, and they’ll all come up as a list. Simply click the one you want to check up on or cancel.

Important Information

 

To cancel a Direct Debit from within the mobile app you have up until 8.20pm (UK time) on the day the payment is due. At or after 8.20pm the payment due on that day will have been taken and we will not be able to retrieve it.
