Moneywise awards identify the financial services companies that are most trusted by British consumers. The awards are based on a major piece of research, conducted by Moneywise, that compares the opinion of British consumers about the service they receive from the companies that provide them with financial products. Moneywise also ask consumers which companies are the ones they trust most to look after their interests.
The 2013 survey saw participation from over 20,000 individuals. This allows Moneywise to generate accurate comparative performance scores for a wide range of companies, from the biggest banks to the smallest mutuals.
Now in its fifth year, the research sets the performance benchmark that financial companies aspire to achieve. The awards are based purely on what the customers of a company feel about the way they are treated by that company. There are no panels of so-called industry experts reviewing their peers.
Winning an award is an absolute measure of how successful a company has been in building a strong relationship with its customers.
Trust is an essential part of any customer/provider relationship, it's much harder to win than it is to lose.
