The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) brings together 14 leading UK aid charities in times of crisis in the world’s poorest countries. We co-ordinate emergency appeals to raise money to help those impacted by disasters, ensuring that when lives hang in the balance, no time is wasted.
DEC member charities are experts in humanitarian aid, working tirelessly to ensure lifesaving assistance reaches those who need it most. With your support we can reach more people with urgently needed help including food, clean water and medical supplies. To find out more visit www.dec.org.uk
The DEC’s current Indonesia Tsunami Appeal is to help the survivors of the 7.4 magnitude earthquake and tsunami that struck Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia, on Friday 28 September. Homes and entire communities have been destroyed, 1.5 million people have been affected and 200,000 are in desperate need of help. Let’s save the survivors.
