Step 3: Pick a mortgage and get a mortgage illustration

After working out how much we could lend you, we'll give you a breakdown of your options and you can pick the perfect mortgage that's right for you.

Your mortgage illustration will outline your selected mortgage type, terms, rates and any associated fees.

Step 2: Get an Agreement in Principle (AIP)

An Agreement in Principle will tell you how much we could lend you based on your income, property value, deposit amount and mortgage term.

Step 4: Apply for your chosen mortgage

You can apply for a mortgage with NatWest either in branch, by phone, or online.

You can choose to meet with a qualified mortgage adviser at your local branch, or talk with a member of our mortgage team over the phone.

If you’d rather choose a mortgage yourself, you can apply for your mortgage online.
