About the Green Homes Grant

  • The Green Homes Grant is a new scheme by HM Government that will help you improve your home with energy-saving features and make your home more climate friendly.
  • The scheme is available in England only.
  • You could apply for the Green Homes Grant voucher to fund up to two-thirds of the cost of your home improvements worth up to £5,000. In some circumstances, you can receive a voucher to fund the full cost up to £10,000.
  • Check if you're eligible for the Green Homes Grant scheme and see what improvements can be made to your home.

We'll give you £100 as a 'thank you' for going green

When you take out a loan of up to £7,450 with us and submit your Green Homes Grant voucher, we’ll give you £100 back as a 'thank you' for making your home more climate friendly.

Terms and Conditions apply.

How it works

1. Have your Green Homes Grant voucher ready

If you're accepted for the Green Homes Grant, HM Government will issue a voucher showing the costs they will cover for your home improvements. Make sure you have it before you start your application, as you'll need it to qualify for the £100 'thank you'.

2. Apply for a home improvement loan up to £7,450

It takes less than 10 minutes to apply for a loan online. If you're looking to get a sole loan, we'll tell you the loan amount and rate you can get with no impact on your credit score. Please choose 'Home Improvement' as your loan purpose when completing your application.

3. Get £100 as a thank you for going green

If your loan is approved, we'll send you an email within 3 working days and ask you to upload the voucher using our secure platform. Once the voucher is validated, we'll send you a £100 'thank you' to your NatWest account within 45 days.

Received your loan funds but not yet received an email to submit your voucher?
