How to set up an overdraft

What you'll need

You'll need your Online Banking Log in details, your address history from the last 3 years and info about your income and outgoings.

How long will it take

The application takes about 5 minutes and you'll know if you've been accepted or not straight away.

Your overdraft limit

If your Overdraft is approved Mon – Thur before 5.30pm, it will be available the next working day. Anytime after this - up to 2 working days.

Our online application is available between 6.30am and 9.45pm on weekdays and between 6.30am and 9.55pm on weekends.

To apply for an overdraft, you must meet these requirements:

  • You're aged 18+
  • You're living in the UK 
  • You've not been declared bankrupt over the past 6 years
