If you’re not using your overdraft at all, you can cancel it

Cancelling your overdraft won’t take long

If you’ve got an Arranged Overdraft in place and you really don’t think you want it any more, you can remove it.

Things to keep in mind…

If you remove your arranged overdraft, you might go into Unarranged Overdraft. Here’s an example of costs.

How to cancel your Arranged Overdraft

Treat it as a new application

Use the ‘Ready to cancel’ section. We'll ask you to log in to Online Banking and confirm your personal details

Select 'Remove your limit'

If you want to cancel an overdraft limit, you simply need to select 'Remove your limit' option

Submit your application online

If you apply Mon – Thur before 5.30pm, we'll cancel your limit the next working day. Anytime after this - it'll take 2 working days
