Tracking my carbon footprint

Climate change is important to us and we know it’s important for our customers. That's why we’ve partnered with Carbon Footprint Tracking experts CoGo who make it easy for you to track your real-time emissions in their app as you spend.

CoGo: Connecting Good

Calculate your carbon footprint

The CoGo app helps you see what you’re doing well, and where you can make even more of a difference. CoGo also suggests hints and tips on how to reduce your footprint, like switching to renewable energy or buying second-hand clothes.

We’re inviting customers to test this feature as part of an 8-week pilot, and to provide feedback on their experience.

To participate, you will need to sign up as a CoGo customer (including agreeing to CoGo’s Terms and Conditions) and connecting your NatWest bank accounts. You’ll need to be 18+, have a NatWest debit or credit card and use the NatWest Mobile App.

Who are CoGo and how does it work?

CoGo are a purpose-driven organisation with a unique technology platform and app that connects consumers and businesses. Their ambition is to change business to change the world.

CoGo’s real-time Carbon Footprint tracker has been developed in partnership with CoGo’s data science team and climate expert Professor Mike Berners-Lee.

Once your bank account has been connected to the app, the feature will automatically calculate your carbon footprint based on your transactions, and this will update every time you spend.
