NatWest script We see an isometric padlock appear on screen. The padlock animates and we see it lock. The new General Data Protection Regulation, known as GDPR, comes into force on 25 May in the UK. It gives you more control over the data we hold on you and how it’s used. And with quicker and easier access, you can check and update it at any time. Collecting your data We see an isometric box. Smaller boxes fly into the larger one. The box then closes. The animation then repeats. These days, almost everything you do creates data. At NatWest, we collect data like your name and contact details, and information about your accounts and transactions. We’ll always collect, store and use your data safely and securely. Using your data Having your most up-to-date information means we can contact you quicker if we suspect fraud on your account. It also means we can let you know of any changes to the products and services you have with us. And we can provide timely help and support when you need it most. We see a phone. We then see a fingerprint log-in appear on the screen, which unlocks the phone. We also access biometric information to make your banking better, more secure and easier. You’re in control We see an isometric safe appear. The door of the safe opens. Inside we see three little pieces of data. We then see the door close. GDPR gives you more control of the data we hold on you, and how we use it. As always, we’ll continue to store all your data safely and securely.
