You will receive your Visa Debit Card and card PIN separately within a few days of opening your account. Once your card arrives we'll explain how to activate it.

And now you can just tap and go. Our Visa Debit cards are contactless, so you have a super-quick no-fuss way to pay for anything that comes to £20 or less. Find out more about contactless.

If you have upgraded from another NatWest account, your account number will remain the same and you can keep using your old card. You will receive a new card when your existing card expires.

Why not move your regular payments and salary to your Black Account? If you didn't do this at account opening, we can do all the hard work for you now. It takes just 7 working days, and on your switch date we'll help you:

  • Your payments (Direct Debits, Standing Orders and Bill Payments) will all transfer to your Black Account 
  • Any credit balance from your old account will have been transfered
  • Your old account will be closed

If any payments are made to your old account after your switch date, they'll be automatically redirected to your new account for 13 months.
