With Christmas just around the corner, here's how our mobile banking app can help you over the festive season

Log in with your fingerprint

If you happen to get a new phone under the tree this year, why not enable Touch ID or Android Fingerprint? Fingerprint log in lets you check your balance with the app quickly and easily. 

Touch ID is available on selected Apple devices. Simply login once you’ve updated the app and go to the ‘More Menu’ to enable this option.

Stay off the naughty list by checking your balance

Don’t wait to find out if you’re on the naughty or nice list. Just use your app to check your balance and keep on top of your Christmas spending.

View your balances for not only your current account but your NatWest credit card, mortgage and savings accounts too.

 

You can also check your transactions going back seven years. Just tap on a particular transaction to see more details.

Pay Someone New

Need to pay a friend or Father Christmas? You can use your app to pay anyone up to £250 with just their account number and sort code. No need for a card reader.

To pay someone new, choose your current account then click ‘Payments’. On the next screen, choose ‘Select payee’ then ‘Pay someone new’ and enter their details.  

 

Once the payment is made you have the option to share a PDF payment confirmation via email, save to your Cloud/Phone or print directly from the app.

Important information

 

The payment details will not be saved. You must have available funds to send from your account (including any overdraft facility). Maximum of 5 payments totalling £250 per working day, which is separate from your daily withdrawal and Get Cash limits.

 

For security reasons, the first time you use a feature that allows money to leave your account with the mobile app, you will be asked to confirm a second activation code.

 

Festivities made easier with Pay Your Contacts  

With Pay Your Contacts you don’t need to swap bank details or mess around with cash. All you need is your app and your friend’s mobile number. Use it to split a taxi or go halves on your Christmas party dinner.

First, tap on your current account. Select ‘Pay Your Contacts’ then enter your friend’s mobile number or select them from your contact list. Finally, enter a reference and the amount.

 

You can use Pay Your Contacts to pay anyone who has a NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland, Ulster Bank, NatWest Offshore or Isle of Man mobile app, or is registered for Paym. They’ll get the money instantly.

 

Once the payment is made you have the option to share a PDF payment confirmation via email, save to your Cloud/Phone or print directly from the app.
