Move money when it suits you

 

We’ve made transferring money on the app really easy. Open it up, choose the accounts you want to move money between, the amount and let us take care of the rest.

Before you can pay other people using Mobile Banking, you will need to set them up as a payee in Online Banking using your card reader. Once they’re set up, though, you will be able to make payments using just your Mobile app.

Don’t have a card reader? Log in to Online Banking and click ‘Security' to order one.

Payments & Transfers are available on Android, iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry10 and Windows.

Near Me

Need cash quick? Find the nearest NatWest branch or cash machine by searching your current location, or entering an address.

Our Near Me service is available on Android, iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry 10 and Windows. BlackBerry users will need BlackBerry Maps and BlackBerry Services to use this feature.

>It’s worth noting that these services use mobile data, so best check with your network provider as you may be charged.

Mobile Top Up

If you’ve got a Pay-As-You-Go mobile, top it up using the Mobile app. It lets you add up to five different mobile phones so you can keep the whole family talking. Mobile Top Up works with all the major mobile networks, except 3.

Top Up payments are taken from whichever account is linked to your debit card – this will be the one you used during registration.

Mobile Top Up is available on Android, iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry10 and Windows.

Log in using your fingerprint

A quick and convenient way to login to your app using your fingerprint registered under Touch ID. Option is available to iPhone 5S, 6 and 6 Plus users with an iOS8 or higher operating system. Simply login once you’ve updated the app and go to the ‘More Menu’ to enable this option.

How to register

Step 1 - Make sure that you have Touch ID enabled on your iPhone.

Step 2 - Make sure you have downloaded the latest version of the NatWest iPhone app from the app store.

Step 3 - When you log in to the app you will see this screen and you can choose to enable Touch ID (to turn it off at any point, go to the app's 'More' menu).

Step 4 - Once you launch the app after enabling Touch ID, you will be able to log in using either Touch ID or your app passcode.

The easy way for friends to send you money

Now you can use the Mobile Banking app to receive money from your friends – even if they’re customers of other banks.  

It’s a new service called Paym, and it lets your friends use their bank’s own mobile banking app to send money to your account, just using your mobile phone number.

Now it’s easy for friends to send you money – even if they’re a customer with a different bank.

All you need is Paym. It’s a service that’s available to customers of most of the UK’s leading banks and building societies.

How does it work?

To use Paym, you need to register using the latest version of the Mobile Banking app. Open the app and select Paym from the menu. You’ll find all the registration details there.

Paym is available on most personal accounts and the list of eligible accounts will show during the registration process. When registering you need to select the account in which you wish to receive payments.

After you’ve registered, your friends just need to use their bank’s own mobile app to send you money using Paym.

They don’t need to know your account number or sort code. All they need is your name and mobile phone number and they’ll be able to send money to your account.

You can now pay anyone with a valid UK Visa debit, credit or prepaid card using just their mobile number.

And if you’re waiting for a friend to pay you, why not give them a gentle nudge with a personalised video from the IOU Team.

Pay Your Contacts

Paying money to anyone with a valid UK Visa debit, credit or prepaid card is simple – all you need is their mobile number and your Mobile Banking app. Open your Mobile app, click on the ‘Pay Your Contacts’ option, enter their mobile number, the amount you want to pay them and add a personal message.

If the person you’re paying is a NatWest Mobile app users, they’ll receive a text and the money will be in their account instantly.

It doesn’t matter if the person you’re paying doesn’t have the NatWest Mobile app. They just need to have a valid UK Visa debit, credit or prepaid card and a UK mobile. We’ll send them a text message to let them know the money is waiting, and a link to click. Separately, you will have to let them know how much you've sent them. When they follow the link in the message, enter their Visa card number and the amount they’re expecting from you, we’ll deposit the money in their account within 48 hours.

Once we’ve notified your contact, they have seven days to collect a payment. And we’ll send you a text message when they’ve collected the payment and your balance has been debited.

Some important information

Pay Your Contacts lets you send money to someone aged 16 and over with a UK mobile number who has a NatWest Mobile Banking app, or a valid UK Visa debit, credit or prepaid card. You must have available funds to send from your account (including any overdraft facility). There is a maximum payment of £250 a day, which is separate from daily withdrawal and Get Cash limits.

Pay Your Contacts is available for NatWest customers on Android, iPhone, BlackBerry10 and Windows.

If you leave home without your bank card, you can still withdraw money at a NatWest, RBS or Tesco cashpoint thanks to Get Cash. It’s another way our Mobile Banking app makes your everyday banking easier.

Get Cash

We love Get Cash, our award-winning feature that lets you withdraw money without using your bank card. We think you will, too. It’s perfect for those times when you need small amounts of cash but don’t have your wallet or purse to hand. Get Cash is another way our Mobile app makes your everyday banking easier.

How does it work?

With Get Cash you can quickly choose an amount of cash that you would like to withdraw from within the app. We will then provide you with a secure cash code that will be valid for 3 hours and can be used at any NatWest, RBS or Tesco cash machine to withdraw your cash. You can use this cash code yourself or text it to someone else. You can use this service up to twice a day, but can only have one cash code at any one time. If the code expires, the funds will re-credit your account within 24 hours.

To use this service:

  • Get Cash allows a maximum withdrawal limit of £250 per working day and this must be within the daily withdrawal limit for your debit card.
  • There is a maximum limit of 2 Get Cash withdrawals per day.
  • You must have at least £10 available funds to withdraw from your account (including any overdraft facility).
  • We must have your correct mobile number in our records.
  • You must have have an active debit card for your account.

Get Cash is available on Android, iPhone, BlackBerry10 and Windows.
