Getting started with our Mobile Banking app is simple – just download it. Our mobile banking services are free, although your mobile network provider may charge you for data. Best check your network operator for details.
How do I install the app onto my phone?
To install the app on your iPhone, please go to the Apple App Store and search for "NatWest", then click Free or the Cloud icon.
To install the app, go to BlackBerry World, search for "NatWest", and then click Download. If you get an option to re-install please follow the instructions below:
> Press and hold down the ALT key while typing rstrst
> BlackBerry App World will close down
> Open BlackBerry App World
> Search for "NatWest"
> Then click 'Download'
To install the app on your Android phone, go to the Play Store, search for "NatWest" and then click Install.
Go to the Windows Store and select apps, search for "NatWest", and then click on 'Install'.
Is the Mobile Banking app secure?
Security is at the heart of our service. Access to the Mobile app is passcode protected. Your passcode is uniquely linked to the Mobile Banking app on your device. This means only your passcode works on your app.
We regularly test, update and validate our security model to ensure we maintain a banking grade level of security. We also use recognised and independent security experts to validate the security of Mobile Banking.
I'm getting the message Update Details whenever I enter my passcode. Why is this?
This is normally because a customer has recently opened a Business Account, Business Loan or Mortgage. To resolve this, please un-install your app and download it again as a new customer. You will be asked to choose a passcode again. You may re-use the same passcode.
I've forgotten the passcode for my Mobile Banking app. What should I do?
There are 2 options here:
1. You can either open up the app and select "Forgotten passcode" in the bottom left hand corner. Within 24 hours, a new activation code will be sent to your phone by text message and this will enable you to re-register.
2. Alternatively, you can delete the app and download it again from your app store. When you re-register, you will see a screen that says we recognise your mobile number. Here, please select the bottom option - the one that says you need to update your details. This will allow you to select a new Passcode. Once your details have been verified, you can begin using the app again.
How do I change the order of my accounts in the Mobile app?
Your accounts are listed in alphabetical order in the app. If you want to change the order, simply log on to Online Banking, change the account names by selecting ‘Your Details’ on the left hand side, and the order in which they appear in the Mobile app will be immediately updated.
When using Get Cash, my Mobile app is showing my savings account and I'm unable to change it. What should I do?
This issue would arise if you have recently been sent a replacement Debit card for your account. To resolve this issue, please delete the app and re-install it. The app will recognise your mobile number. When it does, please select the final option to update your details. You will be asked to choose a passcode again, however you may re-use the same passcode.
