Worldwide travel insurance

Worldwide travel insurance that covers you and your family for trips up to 31 days, including winter sports. Underwritten by U K Insurance Ltd.

What's included?

- Worldwide travel that covers you and your family for trips up to 31 days per trip (including winter sports)
- Cover for you, your partner and dependent children who are under 18 (or under 23 if in full time education) at the start of the journey. Children must be living at the home address (or with the other parent), and be neither married or in a Civil Partnership
- Emergency medical expenses, cancellations, baggage and more

 

What you need to know

- Pre-existing medical conditions are not covered, if you would like to extend your cover to include these, please call us. We may ask you to pay an additional premium or we may not cover your condition
- If you or your joint account holders are aged 70 or over, you must call us each year to obtain cover - £75 annual premium per person insured aged 70 or over applies
- Your partner is the person you, the account holder, live with at the same home address in a relationship, whether married or cohabiting

Mobile phone insurance

Your policy covers loss, theft, damage and breakdown (once your warranty has expired).  Underwritten by Aviva Insurance Limited.

What's included?

- You're automatically covered but we recommend that you register your handset to make the claims process quicker
- Worldwide cover for your mobile phone against loss, theft, unauthorised calls, damage or breakdown. Please note if you're outside the UK we won’t replace your device until you return
- Two successful claims during any 12 month period.  If this is a joint account, both account holders can each make 2 successful claims, with a maximum of 4 per account
- Unauthorised calls following loss or theft for up to £2,500 (inc VAT) for monthly contracts and £100 (inc VAT) for pay as you go customers
- Accessories covered up to £250

 

What you need to know

- Devices with a screen size more than 7 inches are not covered
- Covers the phone you use on a daily basis. If your account is in joint names, cover is also provided for the phone the other account holder uses on a daily basis.  There is no cover for phones owned by your employer.
- There is a £100 excess for each successful claim
- Our replacement phones are refurbished handsets in ‘as new’ condition using genuine manufacturer parts

 

How do I make a claim?

- Claims should be reported as soon as possible when theft, loss, damage or breakdown is discovered
- If your phone has been lost or stolen, you must contact your network provider within 24 hours (48 hours if you’re outside the UK)
- If your phone is stolen, you should inform the police and get a crime reference number as soon as reasonably possible

What you should know

- If a repair cannot be completed by the end of the working day we will arrange for transportation, a hire car or local overnight accommodation – conditions apply
- Limited to 5 callouts in 12 months
- Doesn't cover any repair costs once the insured vehicle has been transported to a garage or repairer

How to use your card

You can make a booking once you receive your tastecard. Only you can make a booking with your tastecard for you and your dining party. Before booking check what offer and times are available for the participating restaurant you wish to book and remember to take your card with you.


How to order a replacement card
