As a new Select Account customer your account is all set up and ready to go. However we've picked out a few services we think you might want to use straight away. So if you haven't already, please:

You will receive your Visa Debit Card and card PIN separately within a few days of opening your account. Once your card arrives we'll explain how to activate it.

Our Visa Debit cards are contactless, so you have a super-quick no-fuss way to pay for anything that comes to £20 or less.

How to switch your current account

Switch your regular payments to your Select Account

Be in control of your finances by having everything in one place. If you didn't do this at account opening, we can transfer your regular payments and credit balance to your new account and close your old account. It takes just 7 working days and we manage the whole process for you. 

If any payments are made to your old account after your switch date, they'll be automatically redirected to your new account for 13 months.

Alerts can help you manage your money with weekly balance updates, warn you before you go overdrawn and avoid or minimise overdraft charges. They can also let you know if there's any unexpected activity.

Is an overdraft right for me?

If you go overdrawn without an arranged overdraft (or if you go over the agreed limit) you may be stung by fees and interest. Agreeing your overdraft limit in advance can give you financial flexibility when you really need it, and we won't charge. 

With the Select Account you can borrow up to an approved limit, and increase or decrease it whenever you want. If your request for an arranged overdraft is approved, you could have access to the money the next working day.
