European Travel Insurance

Going abroad? Your Select Silver account includes travel insurance that covers you for up to 22 days per trip. The policy also includes winter sports cover.

What you need to know

  • To include a joint account holder on your policy, or if you have a medical condition, please call 0845 601 5219 to confirm your premiums and cover
  • If you or your joint account holders are aged 70 or over, there’s a £50 annual premium
  • If you have an existing medical condition, you may have to pay an annual premium or accept that your cover may exclude certain conditions.
Mobile Phone Insurance

Your phone is covered for loss, theft, accidental damage and if it stops working.

What you should know

  • The policy covers unauthorised calls up to £2,500 (inc VAT) for monthly contracts and up to £100 (inc VAT) for pay as you go customers
  • 2 phones are covered if you have a joint account
  • The replacement value per phone is unlimited (excluding cosmetic embellishments with precious metals, stones or crystals)
  • There is a £75 excess.
LOVEFiLM and music downloads from hmvdigital

If you love movies and music, you can choose up to three DVDs plus unlimited online streaming each month from LOVEFiLM. You can also download up to five tracks per month from hmvdigital to your computer, MP3 player and mobile phone.

What you should know

  • Download, rental and streaming allowances can’t be carried over to the next month
  • Online access is required.
 
 
Identity Theft Assistance

Identity theft can be expensive and can cause months of hassle. We’ll protect you against the identity thieves and give you the support you need if the worst should happen. To help keep you safe we will:

  • Check your credit status and receive alerts from Experian if anyone is using your personal details
  • Assign a caseworker who will help restore your credit status if you fall victim to identity theft
  • Alert you if your details are used on a credit application
  • Provide a document registration service that keeps the details of your important documents in a safe place.

What you should know

  • You need to register for credit report and valuable-document registration
  • For joint accounts, both account holders must register individually for Experian credit report monitoring.
 
 
Travel Money

You’ll get preferential rates on foreign currency from our Travel Money service – we’ll even deliver the money to your door.

What you should know

  • Orders must be online or over the phone through membership services to receive preferential rates

A little breathing space if you need it

Your NatWest Select Silver account overdraft can give you access to additional money if you ever need it (subject to eligibility).

  • Borrow up to an approved limit at any time, and increase your limit (subject to approval) or decrease it whenever you want
  • You only pay interest on what you borrow within your agreed limit (please note if you use your arranged overdraft by more than £10 you will be charged an Arranged Overdraft Usage Fee)
  • There’s no need to renew your overdraft.
