Is this to be a sole or joint account change?

To apply, you need to be aged 18 or over and permanently resident in the UK.

Please note that, up to 25th June 2017, the Reward Silver Account monthly account fee is £12 and you will earn 3% back in Rewards on any qualifying household bill Direct Debits. 

From the 26th June 2017, the Reward Account monthly account fee will remain at £12 and you will earn 2% back in Rewards on any qualifying household bill Direct Debits.

Mobile Phone Insurance


Your policy covers your mobile phone for theft, accidental damage and if your phone stops working (underwritten by Aviva Insurance Limited).

What you should know:

  • The policy covers unauthorised calls up to £2,500 (inc VAT) for monthly contracts and up to £100 (inc VAT) for pay as you go customers
  • Covers account holders’ phones only 
  • 2 phones are covered if you have a joint account
  • The replacement value per phone is unlimited (excluding cosmetic embellishments with precious metals, stones or crystals)
  • There is a £75 excess.

European Travel Insurance


Going abroad? Your Reward Silver account includes travel insurance that covers you for up to 22 days per trip (underwritten by U K Insurance Limited). The policy also includes winter sports cover.

 

What you should know:

  • Covers you and joint account holders
  • If you have a medical condition, please click here or call 0345 601 5219 (or Minicom number 0345 600 0512) to confirm your premiums and cover. Lines are open 8am-8pm Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm Saturday, 10am-5pm Sunday and 9am to 5pm on bank holidays. We are closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day and Easter Sunday. Calls may be recorded.
  • If you or your joint account holders are aged 70 or over, there’s a £50 annual premium per person insured aged 70 or over
  • If you have an existing medical condition, you may have to pay an additional premium or accept that your cover may exclude certain conditions.

Ticket Booking Service


Receive 25% cashback on tickets for theatre, dance, opera, concert performances and more throughout the UK and Ireland.

What you should know:

  • Order up to six tickets through the booking service for each event, up to four bookings a year
  • Tickets can be booked by phone or online via the membership services website
  • Cashback is calculated on the full price of the ticket including any booking fees

How do I get my cashback?

  • You don't need to do anything. It will be paid into your Reward Silver account within 30 days of your booking.

2 for 1 or 50% off at thousands of restaurants UK wide.

What you should know:

  • Some restaurants may exclude tastecard use on Friday or Saturday evenings, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Valentine’s Day, the whole of December and potentially other “event” type days
  • Where restaurants offer 50% off they may limit the number of people; where restaurants offer 2 for 1 this does not include side dishes or extras
  • Some restaurants require the customer to book prior to arriving at restaurants.

Travel money


Get preferential rates on foreign currency from our Travel Money service – we’ll even deliver the money to your door.

What you should know:

  • Orders must be online or over the phone through membership services to receive preferential rates
  • Minimum order of £100 applies.

What are Rewards?

They're simple

You automatically earn Rewards on seven selected household bills paid by Direct Debit and on purchases at partner retailers. 5.00 in Rewards = £5.00.

 

They could grow quickly

You could earn £83 on average in Rewards.

 

There's no limit to the Rewards you can earn. Average earning of £83 in Rewards a year is based on paying bills of £345 a month and is before the Reward monthly account fee is paid.

 

They're easy to exchange

As soon as your available Rewards balance is the equivalent of £5 or more, you can convert your Rewards to money, which you can either transfer into your NatWest current account or use towards reducing your Reward credit card balance.

 

Rewards can also be exchanged for gift cards or codes at selected retailers or converted to money and donated to participating charities.

How do I earn Rewards?

2% back in Rewards on seven household bills

You will earn Rewards on the following bills when you pay by Direct Debit from your Reward bank account; Council Tax, mobile, landline, TV package, gas, electricity and broadband.

 

Payments to billing organisations but which are for other services such as maintenance, repairs or insurance will not earn Rewards.   

 

At least 1% back in Rewards at partner retailers

After you've opened your account, you'll receive personalised retailer offers where you can earn extra Rewards when you use your NatWest debit card. To view your personalised offers, exchange any Rewards and to check your Rewards balance, you will need to register on the MyRewards site.

How do I exchange Rewards?

As soon as your available Rewards balance is the equivalent of £5 or more, you can login to MyRewards to exchange them. To login you will need to register, using your debit card. You can then choose from the following.

 

 

Bank it

Convert your Rewards into money. You can then transfer the money into your NatWest bank account or use towards reducing your Reward credit card balance. The funds will be cleared in your chosen account within 5 working days.

 

Trade up

Exchange your Rewards for gift cards or codes at our selected partner retailers.

 

Donate

Convert your Rewards into money, which can be donated to one of our chosen charities.
