Reward Black is available to all customers with a sole income of at least £100,000 paid into their NatWest account, or minimum outstanding mortgage borrowings with us of £300,000, or savings and investments of at least £100,000 held with us. You must also be aged 18 or over and permanently resident in the UK.

Worldwide Travel Insurance

Worldwide travel insurance that covers you and your family for trips up to 90 days (including 31 days for winter sports). The policy also includes £10 million medical expenses cover (Underwritten by U K Insurance Limited).

 

What you should know:

  • Family cover includes you and your partner, plus any dependent children under age 18 at the start of the journey,  (under 23 if they’re in full-time education). Children must be living at the home address (or with the other parent), and be neither married or in a Civil Partnership
  • Your partner is the person you, the account holder, live with at the same home address in a relationship, whether married or cohabiting
  • If you have a medical condition, please click here or call 0345 601 7188 (or Minicom 0345 600 0512) to confirm your premiums and cover. Lines are open 8am-8pm Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm Saturday, 10am-5pm Sunday and 9am to 5pm on bank holidays. We are closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day and Easter Sunday. Calls may be recorded.

What you should know:

  • We'll automatically send you a membership card to Priority Pass™ in the post when you open or upgrade to a Reward Black Account
  • Make sure you visit the Priority Pass website before you travel
  • You will need your membership card to gain access to lounges. If you have a joint account and are travelling with the other account holder, both account holders will need to have their individual membership cards with them.

  • Getting your hands on hard-to-get theatre tickets or booking a table at a top restaurant anywhere in the World.
  • Recommending and securing a special gift for any occasion, even gift-wrapped if you need it.

Black Ticket Service

Receive 25% cashback on tickets for theatre, dance, opera, concert performances and more throughout the UK and Ireland.

 

What you should know:

  • Order up to six tickets through the booking service for each event, up to four bookings a year
  • Tickets can be booked by phone or online via the membership services website
  • Cashback is calculated on the full price of the ticket including any booking fees

How do I get my cashback?

  • You don't need to do anything. It will be paid into your Reward Black Account within 30 days of your booking.

Mobile Phone Insurance

Your policy covers loss, theft, accidental damage and if your phone stops working (Underwritten by Aviva Insurance Limited).

 

What you should know:

  • Covers up to four phones for you, your partner and/or phones of your children under 18 years old who live at home with you (under 23 years old if they are still in full time education and living at home with you outside of term time)
  • The policy covers unauthorised calls up to £2,500 (inc VAT) for monthly contracts and up to £100 (inc VAT) for pay as you go customers
  • The replacement value per phone is unlimited (excluding cosmetic embellishments with precious metals, stones or crystals)
  • There is a £75 excess.

UK & European Car Breakdown Cover

Our partners, Green Flag provide UK & European Car Breakdown cover which includes returning you and your vehicle to your home address in the UK and options to get you to your destination if your vehicle can’t be fixed (Underwritten by U K Insurance Limited).

 

What you should know:

  • Includes Homecall when your car won’t start at home
  • Roadside assistance, anywhere in the UK and Europe
  • For European trips outside the UK, cover only applies for vehicles less than 16 years old at the start of the trip
  • There is no vehicle age limit for UK journeys
  • Cover for vehicles you own that are kept and registered at your home address
  • Anyone driving or travelling in the vehicle owned by you is covered too
  • Limited to 5 callouts in any 12 months
  • Doesn't cover any repair costs once the insured vehicle has been transported to a garage or repairer.

Home Emergency Service

  • 24/7 home emergency cover up to £750 including VAT (Underwritten by U K Insurance Limited).
  • Cover for two homes – your main residence and any second home you own in the UK (excluding properties you rent out).
  • Approved repairers - finding someone you can count on can be a challenge, but we have taken care of that.

Main exclusions:

  1. External water supply pipes
  2. Boilers over 10 years old, or with an output over 75kw
  3. Any emergency if your home has been unoccupied for more than 60 consecutive days
  4. Detached garages and outbuildings
  5. Homes in Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Scilly Isles and the Isle of Man

It's important to remember that this is not a household buildings or contents insurance policy, or an equipment maintenance contract.

Black Travel Service

  • Up to 10% off the base price of holidays including cruises with a number of major tour operators
  • 10% discount on airport parking, UK airport lounge access, car hire, transfers, attractions and airport hotels
  • Complimentary upgrade to Meet and Greet airport parking when booked through the Travel Service. (Only available at certain airports)
  • Complimentary in-flight meals on Thomas Cook Airlines

What you should know:

  • No credit card or booking fees
  • No limit to the number of times you may use the service
  • Charges apply to cancellations or changes to bookings.

Travel Money

As a Reward Black customer you'll get preferential rates on foreign currency from our Travel Money service – we’ll even deliver the money to your door.

 

What you should know:

  • Orders must be online or over the phone through membership services to receive preferential rates
  • Minimum order of £100 applies.

Rewards explained

What are Rewards?

They're simple

You automatically earn Rewards on seven selected household bills paid by Direct Debit and on purchases at partner retailers. 5.00 in Rewards = £5.00.

 

They could grow quickly

There's no limit to the Rewards you can earn. On average, currently our customers earn £120 per year in Rewards, based on average monthly Direct Debits of £333 (£4,000 per year) and excluding the monthly fee.

 

They're easy to exchange

As soon as your available Rewards balance is the equivalent of £5 or more, you can convert your Rewards to money, which you can either transfer into your NatWest current account or use towards reducing your Reward credit card balance.

 

Rewards can also be exchanged for gift cards or codes at selected retailers or converted to money and donated to participating charities.

How do I earn Rewards?

3% back in Rewards on seven household bills

You will earn Rewards on the following bills when you pay by Direct Debit from your Reward bank account; Council Tax, mobile, landline, TV package, gas, electricity and broadband.

 

Payments to billing organisations but which are for other services such as maintenance, repairs or insurance will not earn Rewards.   

 

At least 1% back in Rewards at partner retailers

After you've opened your account, you'll receive personalised retailer offers where you can earn extra Rewards when you use your NatWest debit card. To view your personalised offers, exchange any Rewards and to check your Rewards balance, you will need to register on the MyRewards site.

How do I exchange Rewards?

As soon as your available Rewards balance is the equivalent of £5 or more, you can login to MyRewards to exchange them. To login you will need to register, using your debit card. You can then choose from the following.

 

 

Bank it

Convert your Rewards into money. You can then transfer the money into your NatWest bank account or use towards reducing your Reward credit card balance. The funds will be cleared in your chosen account within 5 working days.

 

Trade up

Exchange your Rewards for gift cards or codes at our selected partner retailers.

 

Donate

Convert your Rewards into money, which can be donated to one of our chosen charities.

How do I get started?

Setting up your new account

All you need are the details of the current account you want to change – i.e. your account number and sort code. 

 

You can find your 8 digit account number and 6 digit sort code by logging in to Online Banking. Your account number and sort code are shown on the 'Account summary' under 'Personal accounts'.

 

You can also find them on your cheque book, paying-in book or bank statement. Alternatively, give us a call.

When will my account be changed?

It will typically take five days to convert your account. We will always aim to do it as quickly as possible.

 

We'll send you an email confirmation. You'll also receive a welcome pack in the post.

 

You'll receive Rewards on any qualifying Direct Debits from the date on which we convert your account.
